Yes, I thought it would be harder.

A Knight travelling trought a forest is stopped by an Ogre. The Ogre chalenge him to a battle of mind. If the Knight win, he will be left alone, if he lose the Ogre will kill him. The Ogre state the rules:

If I tell you 1, you answer 2
If I tell you 2, you answer 1
If I tell you 5, you answer 2
If I tell you 11, you answer 3
Here is your challenge: I tell you 23, what do you tell me.

What do you think the Knight will answer to live and why?
(the why is important, I won't accept an answer without it)

*edit* And no, I won't tell you why, but if you tell me 46 I'd tell you 2. Can you tell me why you'd have asked for 46 next though?

Now is the time for me to put the answers. I never thought it would be that hard, it took me only 15 minute to get it.

For 23 you must say 4 and heres why:
one = 2 vowels
two = 1 vowel
twenty-three = 4 vowels

It was simple. Now the post is opened for a new puzzle.

Damnit. I knew the logic, just miscounted the number of vowels!

You wake up on an island full of cannibal. They capture you and want to pass you to the judgement. No matter what you say, their totem will know if you lie or speak the truth. If you lie, they will roast you, if you don't, they will boil you. There is only one way to escape with your life by speaking to the totem. What must you tell him?

Why am I always sending riddles that are too hard?

The idea here is to place them in a situation of mental paradox. They roast liars and boil honest men, if you tell them you are a liar, they will neither boil nor roast you. Because all human lie at least once in their life, we can all be considered liar, so the totem will say you are honest and the cannibals won't know what to do. Why was it so simple for me...
